Wanna take your friends on the road with you? Or maybe share your road trip with your nearest and dearest? Or perhaps just keep a record of where you’ve driven and what you’ve seen? Well St. Edward Enterprises has just announced an updated iPhone application that allows you to do just than and so much more.
DashCam combines the rear-facing camera of the iPhone, Google Maps, and GPS to allow users to record where they drive and track the route along which they travel on Google Maps, and display the speed, average speed, and distance. Pretty cool huh? Not only that, DashCam users have the unique ability to share the video via YouTube, Facebook, Email, AirPlay enabled devices, or just save the video on the device, or in the Photo Album.
The recording can be used in various ways, some of which include fighting traffic tickets, providing evidence in case of an accident, learning purposes, and personal entertainment. Updates include AirPlay feature, screen recording, ability to use the application while listening to iPod, and improved Facebook and YouTube sharing.
DashCam is compatible with iOS 4.0 or later and iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 and is currently available at the App store for $2.99.
