Why you can’t truly multitask on the iPhone will forever remain one of those Apple mysteries (or conspiracies), but thanks to a new app you can enjoy more convenient multitasking during Web surfing. The iDroid Mini Browser app enables iPhone and iPod Touch users to enjoy up to four different tabs on the bottom of the screen–not exactly the experience you enjoy on your laptop, but at least you can easily bounce from tab to tab.

The app also enables users to add up to 9 favorite websites as Quick Links, and offers a tab preview with a simple tap and hold. The app provides full screen browsing with a quick tilt over to landscape mode. Best of all, it’s called iDroid–Apple can’t be smiling about that one.

Verizon announced some news that will make Motorola fans anxious for the month of March for more than just the beginning of Spring! The Motorola DEVOUR will launch on the Verizon network that month.

The slide-out Qwerty handset will be the first Verizon offering to include Motorola’s MOTOBLUR, an Android-based feature that syncs contacts from email with content from social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. MOTOBLUR pushes social updates to the Happenings widget on the home screen.

The DEVOUR features a 3.1-inch capacitive touchscreen. Other hardware includes a touch-sensitive track pad, A-GPS, Bluetooth, 3G and pre-installed 8-gig microSD card. It comes with a host of pre-loaded applications like Gmail, Google Maps Navigation and YouTube.

While the phone enjoys some sexy retro design…it’s probably the one of the most modern looking offerings out of the Verizon Bull Pen yet! Go Verizon!

Verizon hasn’t specified the price of the new phone, but it should come in well under the cost of the Droid. It will require a data plan that runs $29.99/month.

We all have friends who tune out like a Narcoleptic whenever electronics are mentioned…but we refuse to believe it’s due to lack of want for the benefits of gadgets! They’re just not wired to understand how things work and as such..Aperion clearly had those good folks in mind when it developed the Home Audio Link (HAL for short…not a Space Odyssey reference we hope). This simple system enables users to stream audio with two simple, wireless connections.

A transmitter unit, marked “Send” as to prevent any confusion, connects directly to a computer via USB. The receiver then gets connected to a stereo, and that’s it–instant streaming. The system sends uncompressed audio via 2.5 GHz radio frequency and gets the music from computer to audio system with no hassles (up to 100 feet). It also works for other audio sources like MP3 players.

To sweeten the pot that much more, the system doubles as a wireless speaker upgrade for powered speakers and subwoofers. Connect the transmitter to the stereo receiver; connect the receiver to the speaker/subwoofer, and you have wireless speakers. The fact that most home stereo speakers are non-powered and subwoofers’ can be placed pretty much anywhere may make this function moot, but it’s there for the taking.

The Home Audio Link retails for $149 (receiver and transmitter). Additional receivers can be purchased for $70 and placed around the home. Ship date is January 28. Get them here!

A new all-in-one signal booster was announced by signal-boosting faves Wilson Electronics at CES in Las Vegas called “Sleek”. Expected to be available in early February for $129 (and up for pre-order now), the Sleek is made with the traveler who is often in remote places in mind and will extend the calling range and signal strength of any phone on any North American cell service provider’s network.

Wilson promises that it should boost your phone’s signal strength up to 20 times, though keep in mind that it works only with the 800 and 1,900MHz cellular bands. While that covers both GSM and CDMA networks in the United States, it isn’t compatible with Nextel phones or GSM networks abroad. Wilson has a good reputation for producing products that work so we’re expecting this pup to fill the needs of some of our cross-country traveling friends who are tired of dropped calls.

Guys with a penchant for going green should take note of this new computer from HP. With pricing starting at $849, the HP Compaq 8000f Elite Ultra Slim Desktop PC is being touted as the industry’s first Microsoft Windows(R) based desktop PC to be free of brominated flame retardants and polyvinyl chloride from the wall to the mouse. Judging by the clunky ‘puter in the given image we’re not so sure about the slim part unless they’re referring to slimming down hazardous materials. The PC powered by Intel® Core or Core vPro processors and claims to be 30 percent more energy efficient compared to previous models. It’s also using 100 percent paper-based recycled molded pulp cushions for its packaging. More here!

This new model follows the concept of the original Liquid Image Underwater Digital Camera Mask by creating an easier way to record photos and videos. The concept of integrating the camera into the sports equipment allows the user to travel with fewer items and to keep their hands free while performing sports activities. The integrated camera records a view similar to what is seen, allowing the user to share their experience with other people, and to enjoy their activities to a greater extent because they concentrate less on holding and operating the camera.

The Freestyle Series Swim Camera Goggle model number 330 has an estimated US price of $79.
