Lovers of fine looking cameras with mucho shallow pockets, Pentax has just released your dream camera. The compact point-and-shoot I-10 is obviously inspired by classic film SLRs of the fifties and sixties, complete with a leatherette body in either black or cream to add a classy touch to the retro body. Digital picture frames are old news but Casio has put a new spin on it with the Digital Art Frame recently unveiled at CES. The10.2-inch, WSVGA color LCD frame has a series of special effects that can transform snapshots into pieces that look like paintings.Users can create up to eight different styles of art from a photo: Water Color Painting, Color Pencil Sketch, Pastel Painting, Pointillism, Air Brush, Oil Painting, Gothic Oil Painting, and Fauvist Oil Painting. We’re not sure what exactly Sony Ericsson means by “Vivaz” but lovers of multi-media phones, especially phones that double as nice cameras, will certainly be experiencing a joi de vivre with the announcement of their new such toy. With its HD-capable, 8.1 Megapixel camera with face detection that can shoot 720p video the Vivaz also features 8GBs of storage, a 3.2” screen, out of the box Facebook and Twitter integration, and a plethora of other bells and whistles you can read about in the release below. Liquid Image delighted with a few picture-taking aquatic products at CES and one that dazzles us is the Swim Camera Goggle. Coming with a 62 degree lens, the goggle enables users to capture images while swimming and playing under water up to 15ft below the surface. Mentioned as he worlds first swim goggle with an integrated digital camera, the device also able to records VGA video (640×480) at a rate up to 30 frames per second with audio. Kodak is hoping to reel all you design savvy point and shoot aficionados with their Slice Touchscreen Camera. The 14 megapixel camera has a 3.5” screen that goes hand in hand with their touchscreen interface that works as a picture album of sorts letting your organize your photos by occasion, date, location, and even recognizes faces with its facial recognition feature. Most interesting is that its internal memory allegedly holds up to 5,000 HD photos. The $350 price tag is a bit steep for a point and click but if that’s all your looking for then this is your buddy.
