A mobile social networking program just for the gay boys is, simply put, genius. Just when we were sure all the stationary kind (you know, like facebook and connexion) would kill the sort of real-time cruising we so adore, Grindr swooped in to the rescue! Sure, we may now sometimes be more interested in that boy on our iPhone screen than the one sitting next to us at the bar, but at least with Grindr, we know that guy on our phone is only steps away…and sometimes he’s even in the same club! Grindr’s only been around for little more than a year but with an average of 1-2000 new members daily, Grindr is winning fans at record pace. In fact…there’s now 500,000 thousand guys on Grindr!... Zune HD always mystified us…not for its design or its features, but more so because no one ever thought of taking this little device and stuffing it with phone capabilities. But it looks that as of Christmas time 2010 we’ll have just that with Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 Series. Destined to be a complete overhaul of their phone software, it will take a more lifestyle-centric approach while remaining productivity-friendly. Rather than using a convention icon-based layout, Windows Phone 7 has a more organic layout with rich animations and real-time updates based on your social media feeds and messages. Why you can’t truly multitask on the iPhone will forever remain one of those Apple mysteries (or conspiracies), but thanks to a new app you can enjoy more convenient multitasking during Web surfing. The iDroid Mini Browser app enables iPhone and iPod Touch users to enjoy up to four different tabs on the bottom of the screen–not exactly the experience you enjoy on your laptop, but at least you can easily bounce from tab to tab....
