Yesterday brought us the announcement of the new Nokia N97 “mobile computer” and today brings with it word on the price along with a new snazzy image. Click through to see.
The Noka N97 will set you back approximately $690—a price that sounds prohibitive, but one that makes sense once you realize all that you are getting (up to 48GB of memory, DVD quality video at 30 fps, 5 megapixel camera, GPS, WiFi, BlueTooth…). All that and as far as we can tell, the N97 is a smooth looking device. The folks at Apple may be just a teeny-bit jealous today. Still no word on a release date but it appears to us that this little device will be among, if not the, most powerful mobile to date. Indeed, the N97 seems to be more like a mobile computer with a cell phone feature rather than a cell phone with computing capabilities.

It looks like the Nokia N97 will be an overseas goodie first. The news on the phone doesn’t look too good for the American market, as there are business discrepancies between Nokia and American carriers.
