How many times has this happened: You’re hanging out with your buddies, listening to their ipod, when all of the sudden a life changing, booty-shaking mix from your favorite diva, DJ or rock band comes banging though the speakers. You simply must have that song. Must. But it’s on an ipod and despite begging your friend to copy it for you, you can bet your Madonna Sweet and Sticky tour tickets that they’ll soon forget. What if you had a little gadget that would allow you to suck that song outta your friends pod like a cheap date on manhunt, and then, right there on the spot, plant it square into your own?
Cue the miShare. For a mere $99.99, this ingenious and ever so cute little device will do the dirty work for you. Trotting along at a reasonable 500KB-1MB per second (using a USB 2.0 “full speed”), this palm sized wonder can transfer not just songs, but videos and photos—great for sharing vacation pictures and porn such. We’re not quite sure why the feds haven’t gone all Napster on this shit but that’s just fine with us.
So how does it work? It’s easier than your GGGF (good gay ghurl friend) at the gym locker room.
1) Attach the two ipods to the miShare’s either end (We’re sure you know how that works). Arrows on the miShare point in the direction that the files will be transferred.
2) Flick the “on” switch to the media type you’re interested in copying, ie: music, video, photo.
3) Press miShare’s button – there’s just one and it glows yellow.
4) From there it will copy the last song or video that was played in its totality. If you press the button for longer than three seconds, it will automatically transfer the songs in your on-the-go list.
5) After a quick transfer, songs and videos will appear on a miShare Playlist folder on your ipod.
6) Photos will appear in a miShare Photo Dropbox on the destination iPod.
You could also just watch this nifty video on You Tube.
As with any love affair, there are some downsides. It makes you pay for DRM files once you upload and won’t do Shuffles, 1 or 2 Gig models, iPhones or iTouches. Picky little bitch, but it’s a start!

First this is slightly unethical of a product considering artists work damn hard to get their music sold, but you know, besides all that, could your stereotypical tone and demeanor of this review be any more disturbing and backwards thinking?
As one gay man to one gay website, leave the sexual b.s out of the article. You don’t sound witty and you don’t sound cute.

Hey Ronald, lighten up. When did being gay become so sterile?

I agree with Tim.
For the most part it was funny. Maybe a little over the top, but still it hit the nail on the head. And it seems like a nifty little toy.

Since when did being gay mean that you have to fall into the stereotype of what gay means?

I find the piece and the “witty” remarks quite amusing. that’s what I come to this site for. if I just wanted to read any regular gadget reviews I would of gone to one of the many other sites available. keep up the good work Squirrel
